1. Visual Inspection
• Check for physical damage (dents, cracks, rust)
• Inspect door seals and gaskets for wear or gaps
• Verify unit is level (adjust leveling legs if needed)
2. Electrical & Power Check
• Confirm power to the unit (check outlet, plug, and breaker)
• Inspect power cord for damage
• Listen for compressor and fan operation
3. Interior Inspection
• Check temperatures in fridge and freezer (thermometer recommended)
• Inspect light bulbs and switches
• Look for frost buildup or blocked air vents
4. Condenser Coil Cleaning
• Remove toe kick panel or rear cover
• Use coil brush or vacuum to clean coils
• Check condenser fan (test and clean as needed)
5. Evaporator System Check
• Access evaporator panel (if needed)
• Look for ice buildup indicating defrost issues
• Check evaporator fan for operation
6. Drain Line & Defrost System
• Inspect and clear defrost drain line
• Test defrost heater, thermostat, and timer/control board
7. Ice Maker & Water System
• Check water supply line for kinks or leaks
• Test fill valve and ice maker motor
• Inspect and clean water filter if applicable
8. Final Tests
• Run a full cooling cycle check
• Check for proper airflow in both compartments
• Listen for abnormal noises
9. Customer Tips (Optional but helpful)
• Show customer how to clean coils quarterly
• Recommend temperature settings (Fridge: 37°F / Freezer: 0°F)
